Pilots fall to OLLU

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots soccer team was defeated by the Our Lady Of the Lake University Saints 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. The loss ends any hopes of the Pilots chances of making the RRAC Tournament.OLLU (9-5-2, 6-2-1 RRAC) scored the first goal of the game at the 33rd minute from Oscar Valencia with an assist by Octavio Herrera.
The scoring in the second half began in the 56th minute when OLLU's Gary Hamilton converted on a penalty kick to put the Saints up by two.
The Pilots (5-10, 4-6 RRAC) fought back with a goal during the 68th minute when Che Walcott scored on a free kick to trim the Saints lead to 2-1.
The Saints rallied to score on more goal in 74th minute by Brandon Head with an assist from Valencia to give them a comfortable lead 3-1. The Pilots played hard but could not find the back of the net again.
The next game for the Pilots will be next Saturday at the Swamp against the Northwood Knights at 3 p.m.
