Pilots drop to No. 14 in latest NAIA polls

April 12, 2006

Shreveport, LA---The latest NAIA Division I Baseball rankings were released Wednesday afternoon and saw the LSUS Pilots drop one spot to No. 14. The Pilots improved to 28-14 with a 19-6 win Tuesday over NCAA Division III opponent LeTourneau University.

The Pilots currently sit in a tie for first place in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference at 14-7 with the Belhaven College Blazers (16-8). LSUS currently holds the tie breaker over the Blazers after taking two of three games on the road earlier this season.

LSUS will square off against the William Carey College Crusaders this weekend in a three game GCAC series as they look to defend their 2005 GCAC regular season championship crown. Game one is scheduled for 6:00pm Friday night. Follow all the action live with Mark Cantrell at http://www.lsus.edu/baseball/.
