Pilots drop RRAC opener to HTU

SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots men's soccer team lost 3-0 to the Huston-Tillotson University Rams on Thursday afternoon at The Swamp. The game had a 30 minute weather delay in the first half and was called after the 86th minute due to darkness.LSUS (1-5, 0-1 RRAC) never scored a goal but had plenty of chances as they took a total of 11 shots with five on goal. HTU (5-2, 1-0 RRAC) took 14 shots and nine was on frame. The Rams got three goals from three different players: Cesar Silva (12:16), Catalino Rodriguez (21:32), and Frank Toscano (64:51).
HTU's Jeminson Mejia led all shooters with four total shots while teammate Frank Toscano had the most on goal with three. Nelson Zelaya led the Pilots with three shots and two on goal.
The next game for the Pilots will be Saturday at The Swamp against the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lions at 3 p.m.
