Pilots drop road game to Belhaven

JACKSON, Miss. - The LSU Shreveport men's soccer team lost to the no. 8 Belhaven Blazers by a final score of 4-0 on Thursday night at H. T. Newell.

Belhaven (5-0) got on the board with a quick goal five minutes into the contest by Achille Campion and a 1-0 halftime lead for the Blazers. The shots were even at the break with each team getting five shots.

The Blazers outshot the Pilots in the second half 13-5 as they added three more goals for the shutout victory. BU got another goal from Achille Campion at during the 51st minute and two goals within the last seven minutes of the game by Alex Rodriguez (83:01) and Alexander Marquis (84:49).

Belhaven's Campion led all shooters with five shots while LSUS' Nelson Zelaya had four.

The Pilots will take on Martin Methodist University (1-1) on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Belhaven University.
