Pilots Drop Game One in Jimmy Faulkner Classic

Montgomery, Ala. - The LSUS Pilots lost for the second time in as many games, as the host Faulkner Eagles defeated the Pilots 68-50 on the first day of the Jimmy Faulkner Classic.
LSUS shot just 23% (16-for-69) for the game, while shooting a miserable 4-for-27 from the three-point line.
The Pilots trailed by two at the halfway mark and took a one-point lead just minutes into the second half, but a 21-6 Faulkner run put the Eagles up 14 points, as the Pilots never threatened again in the contest.
Tyrone Hamilton led LSUS with 17 points and freshman Derrick Parker was a bright-spot with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
LSUS will face No. 20 Auburn University-Montgomery on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. AUM defeated No. 18 Campbellsville in double OT on Friday night.
