Pilots dominate All-Conference Awards

SHREVEPORT, La. - The RRAC baseball coaches voted every position player and two starting pitchers from the no. 1 LSU Shreveport Pilots to the Red River Athletic Conference All-Conference Teams on Friday night at the annual coaches meeting prior to the start of the RRAC Tournament. Kyle Pearson was the choice for Player of the Year while his teammate Jared Mortensen was named as the Pitcher of the Year for the RRAC.

The First Team was dominated by the no. 1 ranked team with seven Pilots: Greg Friesen, Stephen Hobbins, Devin Greco, Kyle Pearson, Ridge Gonsoulin, Jared Mortensen, and Matt Lackie. LSUS also had the most on the roster of the Second Team including Manny Estrada, David Dorton, Kade Billeaudeaux and Kym Barthel. Pearson was also named to the RRAC Gold Glove Teams as an outfielder.
