Pilots defeat Badgers 86-79 for 22nd win of the season; New LSUS record

Mobile, AL---After a win Saturday night over the 3rd ranked University of Mobile, the LSUS Pilots went into Spring Hill College looking to build on a 7 game winning streak, and hoped to set a new LSUS record for wins in a season with 22. The Pilots did just that with an 86-79 win over the Badgers.

The Pilots jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first half and never looked back. The Pilots led 46-38 at the half, and managed to hold off and early second half run by the Badgers to improve to 22-6 overall and 13-1 in conference. Fredericko Payne led all scorers with 28 points, while Justin Collins pitched in with 16, and Derrick Rogers finished with 11.

The Pilots will be in action again Thursday night at the Dock versus Tougaloo College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
