Pilots Complete Four Game Sweep of Loyola

The LSUS Pilots 21-8 (15-5), finished the four game series with the Loyola Woflpack 9-19 (6-14)with a sweep today at Pilot field.
LSUS scored six runs in the top of the fourth, which proved to be too much for Loyola as the Pilots won game one 8-1.
Craig Barnes led the Pilots at the plate going 2 for 4 with four RBI's. Barnes sixth homerun of the year came in the sixth inning off Benach.
Cody Lott (5-1) pitched a gem for the Pilots going the distance, allowing five hits and one run while striking out a batter and only walking one.
The Pilots scored eight runs on ten hits while the Wolfpack scored one run on five hits.
In game two the Pilots fell behind early but scored ten runs between the fourth and sixth innings. The Pilots went on to win by a final score of 11-5.
Andrew Brouillette led the Pilots at the plate going three for four with two RBI's. Ricky Sanders had four RBI's, while Jeffrey Garidel two for four with to runs scored.
Juan Leon pitched great in his first start of the season. Leon struck out seven Loyola batters in four and two thirds. Cody Dees had another strong outting as well. He pitched three and one third of an inning and picking up his first win of the season. Blake Pinkston pitched the final inning for the Pilots to seal the deal and complete the four game series sweep of the Loyola Wolfpack.
The Pilots will take on the Springhill Badgers at Pilot field next weekend for a three-game series. Game one will be Friday at 6:30.
