Pilots begin their quest for another conference tourney title

WAXAHACHIE, Tex. - The no. 14 LSU Shreveport Pilots men's basketball team will begin RRAC Tournament play today at the Sheaffer Center on the campus of Southwestern Assemblies of God University against the 7th seeded Texas College Steers at 2 p.m.

The opening round match up with the Steers will be a rematch of Monday's 74-50 win for the Pilots. Texas College (17-13, 13-11) won the first meeting of the year in Tyler 75-68.

LSUS (22-7, 20-4 RRAC) has won six conference tournaments in a row as they search for their seventh consecutive conference tournament title. The Pilots have not lost in a conference tournament since 2005. Regardless of the outcome of this year's RRAC Tournament the Pilots will make their 8th consecutive trip to the Buffalo Funds NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City.

The Pilots have won 14 of their last 15 contest while Texas College has lost four of their last five games.
