Pilots and Wolfpack tied at 5-5; game will resume Saturday at 12:00pm

April 07, 2006

Shreveport, LA---After wind, lightning, and two power outage delays, game one of the three game series between the LSUS Pilots and the Loyola University Wolfpack was brought to a halt in the bottom of the 8th inning. The Pilots tied the score at 5-5 in the 8th after a leadoff double by Brent Lavallee, and pinch runner Riley Cook stole third base and advanced home after an errant throw made its way into left field.

With a 2-1 count on Pilot hitter Bryan Cooksey, the right field lights shutoff, and forced the game to be postponed to Saturday. Game one will pick up in the bottom of the 8th with one out, and the score tied at 5-5.

Game two is temporarily scheduled for 1:00pm, with game three to follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game two.
