Pilots Advance in Region XIII Tournament

Cleveland, Tenn. - No. 4 seeded LSUS knocked off the No. 3 seed AUM Senators, 4-3, in the first round of the Region XIII Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
Victor Hernandez pitched seven scoreless innings to pick up the win, and Josh Todd launched a two-run homer to propel the Pilots to victory.
AUM made things interesting in the eighth inning with three runs on two homers, but Justin Ennis slammed the door shut on the AUM rally and then pitched a scoreless ninth, as the Pilots held on for the win.
Quinton Shamsabady, Jeffrey Garidel and Craig Barnes each had two hits to lead the Pilots.
The Pilots (45-14) will now face the No. 2 seed University of Mobile Rams tomorrow night at 6:00 PM in the winner's bracket.
