No. 15 LSUS Splits With No. 17 Texas Wesleyan

Fort Worth, Texas. - The No. 15 LSUS Pilots split two games versus the No. 17 Texas Wesleyan Rams on Monday afternoon, winning game one 10-6 and losing game two 3-0.
Pitcher John James recorded his NAIA leading fifth win of the season, as the Pilots picked up a win in the first game of the doubleheader.
Brent Lavallee, who leads the country in RBIs and homeruns, belted his 10th long ball of the season and drove in two runs to lead the Pilots past the Rams.
Brandon Bravata also added two doubles and three RBIs, while Stephen Hobbins was 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs.
J.V. Laffitte recorded his second save on the year, as he slammed the door shut on the Rams in the final two innings.
In game two, Texas Wesleyan starting pitcher Joey Evans shut down the Pilots high-powered offense to defeat LSUS 3-0.
Evans allowed just one in the contest, as LSUS was held scoreless for the first time since April of the 2007 season.
LSUS will return home for a weekend series at Pilot Field versus Loyola University of New Orleans beginning on Friday night at 6:30 P.M.
