| LSUS Athletics Sends Best Wishes to GCAC Family (8/31/2005) |
| Shreveport, LA---Louisiana State University in Shreveport would like to send their best wishes to the members of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference and their families who have been affected by this disastrous event. The Red Cross has currently opened an evacuation shelter in the gymnasium on the campus of LSUS for those families who were forced to evacuate their homes and local areas.

| NATCHITOCHES– Northwestern State University was ranked as the preseason favorite to win the Southland Conference in the 2005 season and showed why Sunday afternoon as they improved to 2-0 with a 9-1 win over the now 0-2 LSUS Lady Pilots on the campus of NSU.

| Shreveport, LA---At 5:00pm Friday afternoon the campus of Louisiana State University in Shreveport was introduced to their newest members of the LSUS Athletics Department; the Lady Pilots soccer team. As they marched single file to mid-field before taking their positions on their newly renovated home turf, which has temporarily been named “The Swamp”, they caught their first glimpse of a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference opponent in the William Carey College Crusaders. After the blow of a whistle, history was made as the clock started on the first official collegiate soccer game at LSUS |

| Shreveport, LA---Head Coach Jed Jones waited anxiously throughout the summer for his players to arrive on campus to begin their academic and soccer careers at LSUS. The Lady Pilots have arrived and are ready for action. The team has yet to step on the playing surface versus an opponent, but believe that they are ready for the upcoming challenge. "In the past three weeks, these girls have not only shown me that they have the talent to play the game, but that they know the game," said Lady Pilots head coach Jed Jones.

| LSUS Baseball Coach, Rocke Musgraves, was named 2005 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, while second baseman Dustin Bissonette received the GCAC Player of the Year Award and Derek Cunningham, current Shreveport Sport pitcher, was name GCAC Pitcher of the Year. Other players named to the GCAC All-Conference Team where pitcher Frank Kowatz and outfielder Dusty Maddox. |

| After putting the LSUS Pilots down in order in the top of the first inning of their second-round game in the NAIA Region XIII Baseball Tournament Wednesday night, the Lee University Flames scored their first four batters and six of their first eight in the bottom of the first and never looked back as the Cleveland, Tenn., squad posted a 14-5 win.

| The LSUS Pilots defeated the University of Mobile Rams 6-4 to advance to the championship round of the NAIA Region XIII Baseball Tournament Friday afternoon at Pilots Field. The Pilots will play tonight against the winner of the game between Lee University and Auburn-Montgomery.

| Pilots season opener versus Northwood University postponed (1/31/2005) |
| The LSUS Pilots were scheduled to open their 2005 season tomorrow versus the Northwood University Knights; however, due to poor weather conditions, the games have been rescheduled to Monday, March 28 at 2:00pm in Cedar Hills, Tx. It will be a single 9 inning ballgame. The Pilots will now look forward to February 9th to open their season when they will play host to Bacone College at Pilot Field. Game time is scheduled for 6:30pm.
