Mortensen Receives Pitcher of the Week Honors

WACO, Texas - Jared Mortensen of LSU Shreveport earned the RRAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor for March 5-11.
Mortensen, a senior pitcher from Abbotsford, B.C., tossed a complete game, two-hit shutout in his only start of the week to defeat Texas College, 7-0. In eight innings of work, he struck out 11 and walked three. The Pilots are currently 8-3 in the RRAC and 19-3 overall.
Additional pitcher of the week nominees included Cody Faulkner of Northwood, Aldo Montoya of Texas College, Justyn Nunez of Wiley, Patrick Stanley of TWU and Adam Vera of UTB were nominated for pitcher of the week.
The Pilots have now had at least one player or pitcher of the week in the RRAC named each week so far this season.
