Mortensen named RRAC Pitcher of the Week

WACO, Texas - Jared Mortensen of LSU Shreveport and Roman Gomez of Northwood University were selected as RRAC Co-Pitchers of the Week for their performances for the week of April 2-8.
Mortensen, a senior pitcher from Abbotsford, B.C., also threw a three-hit shutout to stop the University of Houston-Victoria (Texas), 8-0. He mowed down 11 hitters and walked two in seven innings as the NAIA's top-ranked team improved to 33-3 on the season and 17-3 in conference play.
