    Men's Soccer: Pontes, Walcott select to RRAC All-Tournament Team

    WACO, Tex. - Rodrigo Pontes and Che Walcott were the only two members from the LSU Shreveport men's soccer team that was selected to the Red River Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team. Pontes scored the only goal for LSU Shreveport in the RRAC Tournament; a penalty-kick in double overtime to defeat Huston-Tillotson. Walcott anchored the backline for the Pilots helping to prevent some goals from getting scored on the Pilots.

    Men's Soccer: Pilots season comes to an end with loss in semis

    FORT WORTH, Tex. - The Texas Wesleyan Rams netted a pair of early goals to control Friday's Red River Athletic Conference Tournament Semi-Final Match downing the LSU Shreveport Pilots by a final score of 3-0. The win not only puts the Rams in the RRAC Finals tomorrow but they earn a berth in the NAIA National Tournament. The loss for the Pilots eliminates then from the RRAC Tournament and puts an end to their record-setting season.

    Three Pilots named All-RRAC

    WACO, Tex. - The Red River Athletic Conference announced the 2012 Red River Athletic Conference Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams and postseason award-winners as voted by the conference's head coaches on Wednesday. Alan Arroyo, Che Walcott, and Rodrigo Pontes were the three Pilots chosen to this year's All-conference selections.

    Pilots take down HTU in OT

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The post season for soccer brings one for sure thing in to play; there must be a winner. Saturday afternoon at The Swamp it looked as if penalty kicks after double overtime would be needed to decide a winner between the LSU Shreveport Pilots and the Huston-Tillotson Rams men's soccer teams only it was the Pilots who came out on top with a 1-0 victory in overtime as Rodrigo Pontes scored on a penalty kick three minutes and 59 seconds into overtime. The Pilots advance in the tournament after defeating last year's regular season and tournament champion.

    Awagu named RRAC Offensive Player of the Week

    WACO, Texas -- William Awagu of LSU Shreveport stood out as the Red River Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 22-28, while Lorenzo Munoz of Wiley College (Texas) grabbed the RRAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award for the same dates.

    Pilots to host HTU

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport men's soccer team will host the Huston-Tillotson Rams in the Quarter Finals of the 2012 Red River Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at The Swamp. The winner will advance to the Semi Finals on November 9th hosted by Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth.

    Pilots take down Northwood to clinch post season berth

    CEDAR HILL, Tex. - The LSU Shreveport men's soccer team clinched their berth in this year's Red River Athletic Conference Tournament with a 2-1 win on the road over the Northwood Knights on Saturday afternoon. The win should have locked up the fourth spot in the RRAC standings which would mean the Pilots will host next week's first round game. The opponent will be determined, along with the official standings, at the conclusions of today's RRAC schedule.

    SHREVEPORT, La. - If the seniors of LSU Shreveport do not get another opportunity to play another game at The Swamp they can know that they won their last game at home with a 1-0 today over the Our Lady of the Lake Saints in Red River Athletic Conference play.

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The University of Texas at Brownsville ruled the Swamp on Thursday afternoon crushing the LSU Shreveport Pilots 7-1 in Red River Athletic Conference play.

    Pilots win overtime thriller

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The term "Walk-off Win" when heard in October is usually pertaining to a Major League Baseball playoff game but for the LSU Shreveport Pilots men's soccer team the term was used on Tuesday afternoon as William Awagu netted the "Golden Goal" with 30 seconds remaining in double overtime as the Pilots defeated the Southwestern Christian University Eagles 3-2 at The Swamp in a non-conference game.
