    Pilots prepare to sail the uncharted waters

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The LSU Shreveport Pilots men's basketball are less than 24 hours removed from taking down the no. 1 team and the only unbeaten team in the country in the Quarter Finals in the Buffalo Funds-NAIA National Tournament. Tomorrow the Pilots will test the uncharted waters in the Fab Four for the first time in school history as they take on the 13th seeded Georgetown at 8 p.m. on Monday night at Municipal Auditorium.

    LSU Shreveport Moves on to Semifinals, 79-78

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. - LSU Shreveport mounted a second half comeback to defeat No. 1 seed Columbia (Mo.), 79-78, to advance to the semifinals of the 2013 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship. The Pilots will face Georgetown (Ky.), Monday night at 8 p.m. CDT. The 76th annual event is held at Municipal Auditorium

    LSU Shreveport Advances Quarterfinals, 77-70

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. - LSU Shreveport upset No. 9 Evangel, 77-70, to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2013 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship. The Pilots will face the winner of No. 1 seed Columbia (Mo.) and Hope International (Calif.) tomorrow at 6 p.m. CDT. The 76th annual event is held at Municipal Auditorium.

    LSU Shreveport Upsets No. 8 Pikeville, 91-87

    Kansas City, Mo. - LSU Shreveport (La.) recorded the biggest upset on the first day of the 2013 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championships, knocking off No. 8 Pikeville (Ky.), 91-87. The Pilots will advance to the second round and play the winner of Evangel (Mo.)/Montana State-Northern on Friday, March 15 at 4:30 p.m. CDT. The event is held at Municipal Auditorium. Rodney Milum scored a tournament-best 30 points for the Pilots and connected on 7-of-12 three-point shots, while also converting 7-of-8 free throws. Brandon Davis and Mark Politte each scored 21 points and combined for 23 rebounds, while Tevin Hall added 17 points and six rebounds off the bench.

    MBB: Davis claims yearly award, four Pilots named All-RRAC

    WACO, Tex. - The Red River Athletic Conference coaches voted LSU Shreveport's Brandon Davis as the conference's Newcomer of the Year. Rodney Milum, Mark Politte, and Rydell Harris joined Davis among the players selected to this year's Red River Athletic Conference All-Conference Teams.
