Men's Basketball: Reid claims RRAC Player of the Week Honors

WACO, Tex. - Isaac Reid of LSU Shreveport stood out as the Red River Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of Dec. 3-9. He is the sixth conference selection of the season.
Reid, a junior forward from Houston, posted averages of 21.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Pilots. He only missed one shot while scoring 19 points and grabbing seven boards in an 88-68 victory over Bacone College (Okla.). Reid followed with 24 points and nine rebounds to stomp Centenary College (La.), 92-71. For the week, he sank 18-of-24 field goal attempts (75.0%) as LSUS climbed to 2-1 in the RRAC and 6-2 on the season.
Oscar Griffin of Texas Wesleyan University, Dominic Jones of Wiley College (Texas), Jamal Robertson of Texas College, and Lo'Ron Smith of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) were additional nominees.
