Men's Basketball Re-enters Top 25
January 14, 2009
SHREVEPORT, La. – The LSUS men’s basketball team found themselves back in the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll this week, coming in at No. 24 in the latest national rankings.
The Pilots began the 2008-09 season ranked as the No. 8 team in the country, but after a 1-3 start, they fell out of the Top 25 for the first time in two seasons. However, after winning eight of their last ten games and their first two Gulf Coast Athletic Conference contests, the Pilots re-entered the rankings.
LSUS (9-5) will face their first conference road test on Thursday night when they face the William Carey Crusaders in Hattiesburg. Carey has dropped their first two conference games, including a four overtime loss to Loyola University-New Orleans last Saturday.
