Martin, Boss selected to RRAC All-Conference Teams

November 08, 2012

WACO, Tex. - The Red River Athletic Conference announced the 2012 Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and postseason award-winners as voted by the conference's head coaches on Wednesday. Brooke Martin was selected to the First Team while Kelly Boss represented the Lady Pilots on the Second Team.

Martin, a senior-mid-fielder from San Antonio, Texas, scored three goals in conference play in 10 games while assisting on two more goals to help the Lady Pilots 4th place finish. This is the third straight season that Martin has been selected to the RRAC All-Conference Teams and it's her second consecutive selection to the First Team. She was selected to the Second Team back in 2010.

"Brooke is an exceptional player and deserves everything that has come her way. Her speed helped us tremendously and she was always a threat to score and put pressure on other defenses. Her presence on the field will definitely be missed as well as off the field," said LSUS Head Coach Mike Aguilar.

Boss, a senior-defender from Bentonville, Arkansas, had the game-winning goal for the Lady Pilots as they defeated Northwood 1-0 in the final regular season game. She scored a total of two goals in RRAC play and played in all 10 games. Boss makes her first appearance on any RRAC All-Conference Teams.

"Kelly was a great leader for us; I am proud of what she has accomplished this season. She will be missed, not only of game days, but every day she is a joy for her teammates and coaches to be around; as a coaching staff we are proud of her not only on the field but in the classroom as well," said Aguilar.
