LSUS WOMEN'S SOCCER DOWNED BY BELHAVEN

Jackson, MS-The LSUS women’s soccer team (7-4-1, 1-2) fell to the Belhaven Lady Blazers (5-4-2, 1-1) by a final score of 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
All of the scoring was done in the first half as the Lady Blazers got the first goal at the 32nd minute as the goal went off an LSUS defender. The second goal was scored at the 40th minute as Belhaven’s Dana Sullivan scored and Mallory Hodges was credited with the assist.
Ashley Pope led the way for the Lady Pilots on offense with 3 total shots in the match. Caitlin Smith and Tarah Arrington each had 2 shots a piece.
The next game for LSUS will be on Saturday, October 24th, as the Lady Pilots will face the Lady Crusaders of William Carey University at the Swamp. The kick off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
