LSUS the favorite in the RRAC preseason poll

WACO, Tex. - The LSU Shreveport baseball team are the favorites in their first season in the Red River Athletic Conference according to the 2011 RRAC preseason poll as voted on by the coaches.

The Pilots finished the 2010 season with an overall record of 48-13 including a 5-1 record against RRAC opponents. LSUS swept Wiley College in a double header at Pilot Field by final scores of 4-2 and 8-4. Then Pilots swept a double header at Northwood winning game one 5-4 and game two 20-7. The only game LSUS lost last season to a RRAC opponent was game two of a double header at Texas Wesleyan 7-6 after the Pilots won game one 13-6.

The Pilots finished a half a game behind Belhaven for the GCAC regular season title after two conference games that were rained out but won the conference tournament as they bid the GCAC farewell.

LSUS will find out how they fare in this year's preseason NAIA top 25 poll as it is released later tomorrow. See below the coaches top four predictions in this year's RRAC.
