LSUS Swept by the University of Mobile Rams Saturday night

January 26, 2004
The LSUS Pilots and Lady Pilots traveled to Mobile, Alabama this weekend to take on the University of Mobile Rams. The Lady Pilots were defeated 70-45, and the men lost by a score of 89-80.

Due to computer problems discovered by the University of Mobile, stats for these games have yet to be reported to LSUS.

Both teams are in Conference action again tonight versus the Springhill Badgers. The teams will travel home this evening looking forward to playing their next games at home. The men are in action Thursday night at 6:00pm when they will try to avenge a one point loss suffered earlier in the year at the hands of Central Baptist College.

LSUS will host William Carey College Saturday night when both the Pilots and Lady Pilots will look to improve on their conference standings. The Lady Pilots will tip-off at 5:00pm, followed by the men at 7:00.

Complete conference standings and stats can be found at www.gcaconf.com. To follow how our teams are ranking nationally, www.naia.org has complete individual and team stats for both men’s and women’s basketball. You may want to pay special attention to the men’s scoring leaders as you will see LSUS’ own, Fredericko Payne is 6th in the country in scoring with an average of 21.77 points per game.
