LSUS' MARSHALL, CALHOUN RECEIVE ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS
November 10, 2009
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced today the 2009 Women's Soccer All Conference Teams. Two LSUS players, Alicia Marshall and Torie Calhoun, were named to the Second Team All-Conference.
Marshall, a senior, from Texarkana, Texas played stellar defense all season for the Lady Pilots. She started all 13 games that she played in for the Lady Pilots in 2009. “Alicia is an exceptional player. I am proud to have coached her here at LSUS. She had an amazing career and we will miss her presence on the field next season,” stated Head Coach, Jed Jones.
Calhoun, a freshman, from Tyler, Texas was a standout Goalkeeper in just first year of collegiate play. “I knew Torie would excel at the college level due to her great presence of mind on the field. The future looks bright for Torie and the Lady Pilots,” said Head Coach, Jed Jones.
