LSUS Finishes First Half of the Season on High Note

Fort Worth, Texas - The LSUS Pilots finished the first half of the season undefeated with an 88-60 victory over Texas Wesleyan on Saturday night.
LSUS started off the game on fire, jumping out to a ten point lead just four minutes into the contest. The Pilots would then go on 26-4 run over the next ten minutes, capped off by back-to-back three-point baskets by Josh Porter.
LSUS led the Rams 55-26 at the break. Porter finished the first half with 24 points.
The Pilots continued their domination throughout most of the second half, extending their lead to as large as 36 points at one point.
LSUS received stellar play off of the bench from junior Clarke Jackson. In just 9 minutes of action, Jackson poured in 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
Senior J'Quincy Jones finished with 11 points in the rout, while Travis Cash pulled down a season-high 14 rebounds for the Pilots.
Porter led all scorers with a game and season-high 33 points.
LSUS will head into the Christmas break with a perfect 11-0 record. The Pilots are off to their best start since beginning the 2005-06 season with 12 straight wins.
LSUS returns to action on January 3 against Loyola, their first conference game of the season.
