LSUS claims RRAC Sportsmanship Award

June 15, 2012

WACO, Texas -- Conference Athletic Directors selected LSU Shreveport as the overall winner of the 2011-12 Red River Athletic Conference Sportsmanship Award. LSU Shreveport's coaches, players and administration exhibited the best demeanor and conduct during the most recent academic year.

Special recognition was given to the University of St. Thomas (Texas) for its women's programs and LSUS for its men's teams.

The RRAC Sportsmanship Award is given annually to the RRAC member institution that displayed the highest level of sportsmanship including teamwork, fair play, respect for the game and conduct in competition. The school's sportsmanship must be apparent across multiple sports, on and off the field and in interaction with fellow member schools.

Representatives from LSUS and UST will be presented with the awards at the conference meetings in September in Dallas.
