LSUS and AUM postponed until 11 AM Saturday

May 13, 2011
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The no. 6 LSU Shreveport Pilots and the no. 10 Auburn University-Montgomery Senators will resume game number five on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. The game was halted as it headed into the bottom of the fourth inning for a lightning delay that soon became a rain delay. The storm pounded the ballpark with enough rain to stop play for the day.

The no. 1 seeded Pilots and no. 2 seeded Senators will pick up the game where it left off tied 2-2 with Kyle Pearson set to lead off the inning for the Pilots. AUM got single runs in the first and second to take an early lead but the Pilots rallied for two runs in the bottom of the second to tie the game at two.

This unexpected weather has changed the rest of the tournament schedule as well with the final game of today will be played after the Pilot's game tomorrow and it will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the winner meeting the loser of the LSUS/AUM matchup for elimination at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow night.

The Championship Game is still on schedule for Sunday with the first Pitch at 1:00 p.m. while the if-necessary game would be played on the same day at 4:30 p.m.
