LSU Shreveport's Women's Tennis Opening Match Postponed

Shreveport, LA-The LSU Shreveport women's tennis team was scheduled to open their 2010 season on Sunday morning but the match has been postponed to a later date.
The LSUS women's tennis team is now scheduled to begin their inaugural season on Saturday, February 20th, at 9 a.m. versus William Carey University at the Cockrell Tennis Center at 4109 Pines Road in Shreveport which is where they will play all of their home matches.
The first LSU Shreveport women's tennis team consists of eight members; one senior, two juniors, three sophomores and two freshmen.
Lauren Simmons from Bossier City, Louisiana is the lone senior on the team. She went to Airline High School in Bossier City.
Ali Lieberman and Katie Moak are the two juniors. Lieberman is from Shreveport, Louisiana and prepped at Caddo Magnet High School. Moak is from Ferriday, Louisiana and went to Huntington School.
The three sophomores include Charli Beal, Lindsay Bomba, and Anne Kelly. Beal is out of Brownsboro, Texas and Brownsboro High School. Bomba is also a member of the LSUS women's soccer team and now joins the tennis team to become the school's only current multi-sport athlete. Bomba, from San Antonio, Texas went to Devine High School. Kelly is from Airline High School in Bossier City.
Lindsey Crane and Priscilla Erickson are the two freshman on this year's team. Both are from Shreveport and attended Evangel Christian Academy.
Doug Robinson begins his first year as the head coach of the women's tennis team and will be assisted by Lester Jackson.
"Lester has worked very hard with the team and they have improved a tremendous amount since our first practice. We are excited to begin our season and wish we could have begun today but we will have to wait," said Robinson.
