Lady Rams come from behind to defeat Lady Pilots 66-54

Shreveport, LA---Saturday night was a tale of two halves for the LSUS Lady Pilots (5-8, 1-3). A dominating first half performance led to a 33-24 halftime LSUS lead. The University of Mobile Lady Rams (11-6, 3-2) however held the Lady Pilots to 21 second half points and walked away with a 66-54 win at The Dock.

The Lady Pilots scored first and scored early and often in the first half as they jumped out to a 16-4 lead over the Lady Rams at the 11:49 mark.

UM responded with a 12-6 run to pull within six points but trailed the Lady Pilots 33-24 at the break.

The Lady Rams had trouble scoring in the paint shooting just 9-of-29 (31%) from the floor, and were 0-of-3 from beyond the arc.

LSUS finished 13-of-30 (43%) from the field and had eight different scorers tally the score sheet with Terriyon Fairley leading the way with seven points.

The second half proved to be the opposite of the first as the Lady Rams went on a 23-4 run to begin the half, and led 47-37 at the 10:50.

UM took advantage of 16 second half Lady Pilots turnovers and led by as many as 15 points down the stretch en route to a 66-54 victory.

Emmerentia Ledwaba led the Lady Rams the games only double-double collecting a game high 13 rebounds and adding 11 points. Rheonda Leary finished 8-of-14 from the floor and finished with a game high 17 points.

UM won the rebound battle by a final margin of 42-37, and committed 19 turnovers while forcing 25 by the Lady Pilots.

Kacie Cryer was the high scorer for the Lady Pilots with 11 points. Edie Leonards finished with a team high eight rebounds and added six points and a game high six assists.
