Lady Pilots Win Eighth Straight Over Paul Quinn

Shreveport, La. - The LSUS Lady Pilots evened out their record on Friday night with a 69-58 win over Paul Quinn College. The win was the Lady Pilots eighth consecutive victory in their series with the Lady Tigers.
LSUS used a hot shooting peformance to dispose of the Lady Tigers on the first night of the Lady Pilots Classic. LSUS shot 41 percent for the contest, while shooting a season-high 50 percent from the three-point line.
The Lady Pilots were led by senior Edie Leonards' 13 points. Freshman Whitney Hollins added 12 points, while point guard Teokea Wilkerson finished the game with 11.
LSUS outrebounded the visitors 50-42 for the game. Juniors Quan Joseph and Janai Sells each recorded 10 rebounds for the Lady Pilots.
The Lady Pilots (4-4) will face Wiley College on the second day of the Lady Pilots Classic tomorrow afternoon. The tip for tomorrow's contest is scheduled for approximately 4:00 PM, immediately following the first game of the afternoon which pits Paul Quinn versus Belhaven at 2:00.
