Lady Pilots to Face McNeese State in Exhibition Game Tonight

Shreveport, La. - The 2007-08 version of the LSUS Lady Pilots women's basketball team will take the floor for the first time tonight in a exhibition game versus McNeese State University at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles.
The Lady Pilots return four starters, including the 2007 GCAC Newcomer of the Year Edie Leonards, off of last year's team that finished fourth in the GCAC last season.
"With the return of four starters and the addition of several talented newcomers, we have the potential to be one of the best LSUS teams since the women's program was restored in 2003," said head coach Ronnie Howell. "We have a lot of veteran leadership on our ballclub, which will hopefully result in many victories for our team this year."
Following tonight's contest, the Lady Pilots will open up the 2007-08 regular season on Saturday night versus Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas.
