Lady Pilots take down Jarvis

HAWKINS, Tex. - The no. 25 LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots took care of business on Thursday night in Red River Athletic Conference play defeating the Jarvis Christian Lady Bulldogs 72-59.

LSUS (22-4, 17-3 RRAC) shot 54-percent for the game with three Lady Pilots finishing in double figures with Sharde Henry leading the way with a double-double performance of 22 points, 10 rebounds and she dished out six assists as she collected the game's high in all three categories.

Jenna Diakos poured in 21 points on nine of 12 shooting while Christy Willis had 11 points having one of only tow three-pointers made by the Lady Pilots.

Jarvis Christian (7-18, 5-15 RRAC) had a tough night against the LSUS Lady Pilots defense making only 37-percent on a night where the LSUS defense forced JC into 19 turnovers. Porche Gavin (11) and Jemetria Green (10) were the only two Lady Bulldogs to finish in double digits while Ivory Russell (8) was their leading rebounder on a night where LSUS won the rebounding battle 33-27.

The Lady Pilots will take on St. Thomas in their next contest this Saturday in Houston. LSUS won the first meeting this season 102-79.
