Lady Pilots play host to Lady Rams in GCAC Action

The LSUS Lady Pilots will play host to the University of Mobile Lady Rams Saturday night at The Dock. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00pm.

Series: The University of Mobile Lady Rams lead 5-1. LSUS won the first ever meeting between the two teams 55-54 at The Dock in 2004. The Lady Rams have won the last five contests.

Most Recently: The Lady Pilots return to The Dock after going 1-1 on their New Orleans road trip. LSUS pulled away with a 69-51 win over Dillard University Saturday, January 6th which marked their 3rd road conference win in four years. Despite a valiant effort, the Lady Pilots dropped a 69-60 decision to Xavier University Monday, January 10th to fall to 1-2 in GCAC action, and are currently 5-7 overall.

The Lady Rams are looking to respond from a 74-71 double-overtime loss at the hands of Loyola University. UM committed 39 turnovers in the contest. UM dropped a 60-73 decision to Xavier after leading by 12 points at the half, and has collected wins over Tougaloo and Belhaven as they sit in 6th place in the GCAC at 2-2.

Streaks: The Lady Pilots have dropped their previous two GCAC home games. LSUS has shot under 40% from the field in four of their last five games; 1-4 during that stretch. LSUS is 1-5 when failing to score 60+ points; 4-2 when scoring 60+ points.

Rheona Leary has posted double-digit scoring totals in 15-of-17 games this season. Emmerentia Ledwaba has posted double-digit scoring totals in nine consecutive games; she is averaging 17-points through UM’s previous four games.
