Lady Pilots Lose Heartbreaker in Final Seconds on Senior Day

Shreveport, La. - Spring Hill grabbed an offensive rebound and scored with .7 seconds remaining on the clock in overtime to defeat the Lady Pilots 81-80 on Senior Day at The Dock.
Teokea Wilkerson drained two free throws with seven seconds left in the overtime period to give the Lady Pilots an 80-79 lead, but Keisha Forbes saved the day for the Lady Badgers with an offensive put back with less than a second remaining.
The Lady Pilots had an opportunity to win the game in regulation, but they turned the ball over on a travelling violation, while Spring Hill was unable to get a final shot attempt up as the buzzer sounded, sending the game into overtime.
Sharidan Hollis led the Lady Badgers with a game-high 29 points. Rashanda Belton added 17 points, and Forebes finished the game with 12 points.
Three Lady Pilot seniors played their final regular season home game at The Dock on Saturday afternoon. Edie Leonards led the Lady Pilots with 23 points, while fellow seniors Kacie Cryer and Wilkerson also finished in double-figures with 17 and 14 points respectively. Cryer also pulled down 11 rebounds for a double-double.
The Lady Pilots (11-14, 7-9) will travel to face Tougaloo College on Thursday night in Jackson, Miss.
