Lady Pilots Lose Heart Breaker to UT-Tyler

Tyler, Texas - The LSUS Lady Pilots dropped a heart breaker on Saturday night, falling to UT-Tyler 69-68 after the Lady Patriots' LaTiandra Smith made the second of two free throws with just two seconds remaining on the clock.

The Lady Pilots trailed by as many as 14 points late in the second half, but rallied to tie the game at 68 with ten seconds left on a jumper by freshman Callie Davis.

A foul by Edie Leonards with two seconds left sent Smith to the free-throw line for the win.

The Lady Pilots (1-3) placed five players in double figures, with freshman Whitney Hollins leading the way with 13 points.

UT-Tyler's Kasey Buggs led all scorers with 20 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field.
