Lady Pilots fall to Bulldogs, 68-62

December 08, 2003

The LSUS Lady Pilots were host to the Jarvis Christian Lady Bulldogs Monday night. In the first half of play the two teams went to work on the defensive ends of the court, holding each other to a halftime score of 31-28, in favor of the Pilots.

In the second half, the Lady Bulldogs picked up their offense and proved to be too much for the Lady pilots. Jennifer Oko poured in 18 points for the Bulldogs, followed by teammate Jennifer Crutcher who finished with 17. The Lady Pilots hung around until the end, but a late run by the Bulldogs put the game out of reach. Renalda Stafford finished with a game high 22 points for the Pilots. Kendera Monette ended with 15 and 10 rebounds, her second double-double of the year.

LSUS now must look forward to their next game versus Belhaven College on December 18. This game will be at Bellhaven College and will be the first game of Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action for the Lady Pilots. Game time begins at 5:30 pm.
