Lady Pilots Fall in GCAC Quarterfinals

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The LSUS Lady Pilots fell in the GCAC Tournament Quarterfinals, 76-71, as the William Carey Lady 'Saders ended the Lady Pilots' season on Thursday night.
LSUS trailed by as many as 17 points early in the second half, before mounting a rally to cut the William Carey lead down to just one point with four minutes remaining.
However, William Carey responded with a 6-0 run over the next two minutes to take a seven-point lead with just over two minutes left to play, and they hung on for the victory after making 9-of-10 free throws in the last minute of the game.
Edie Leonards finished her stellar LSUS career with a game-high 24 points and 12 rebounds.
Janai Sells and Kacie Cryer also finished in double-figures for the Lady Pilots, scoring 13 and 11 points respectively.
LSUS (13-15, 9-10) completed their season with 13 wins, tying the most wins in a single season since the program's reinstatement in 2003.
