Lady Pilots fall 71-56 to Lady Cats at the Dock

Shreveport,LA-The LSUS Lady Pilots (4-7) played host to the Louisiana College Lady Cats (3-5) Tuesday night at the Dock. LSUS was hoping to complete a series sweep versus LC after defeating them 58-46 November 23, however, the Lady Cats shot 55% from the field and finished with a 71-56 over the Lady Pilots.
The Lady Cats Jessica James and Edie Leonard led all scorers in the first half with 8 points a piece on a combined 7-8 shooting from the field. The Lady Cats finished the first half shooting 14-26 from the field, 3-7 from beyond the three-point line, and connected on 3-4 free throw attempts.
Dyamond Hogg was the leading scorer for the Lady Pilots at the half with 7, followed by Marcia Sphyhalski who had 6 and 4 rebounds. LSUS finished the half connecting on 14-34 from the field, 3-7 from beyond the three-point line, and made good on 2-2 from the free throw line.
The Lady Cats offense continued to click in the second half as they poured in 37 points on 16-29 shooting from the field. Four Lady Cats finished in double figures. Carol Elder finished with a game high 18 points and rebounds, followed by teammates Edie Leonards with 14, Courtney Perry 11, and Jessica James finished with 10.
Dyamond Hogg was the Lady Pilots leading scorer with 15 points on 5-13 shooting. The Lady Pilots finished shooting 38% from the field, 6-18 from beyond the three-point line, and 6-8 from the free throw line. The Lady Pilots, now 4-7 on the season, must look ahead to December 16 when they will travel to Rhema Bible College looking to get back on track and back into the win column.
