Lady Pilots Fall 64-59 to No. 22 Southern Nazarene

WAXAHACHIE, TEXAS - The LSUS Lady Pilots dropped their first game of the year, as the 22nd-ranked Crimson Storm women's basketball team improved to 5-0 on the year with a 64-59 win over LSUS on Friday night in the first game of the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Classic.
It was all square going into the half, but SNU outscored the Lady Pilots by five to take the win.
For the game, Lana Keith led the way with the Storm with 16 points and eight rebounds. Logan Martin also picked up 16 points on the night with four rebounds. Abbey Marra had eight rebounds and eight points while Ashley Mantooth had seven points and four rebounds.
SNU held LSUS to only 34% shooting from the floor and 36% from three, while SNU was 46% from the field and 35% from three for the night.
Whitney Hollins led the Lady Pilots with 17 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the the three-point line, while Quan Joseph added 8 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
The women will play again tomorrow afternoon versus Central Baptist.
