Lady Pilots drop exhibition at ULL

LAFAYETTE, La. - The LSU Shreveport women's basketball team suffered an 83-42 loss on Monday night at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in what was an exhibition game for the Lady Pilots.
LSUS shot 30% from the field and only three of 15 from downtown and converted on seven of 11 free-throw attempts. The ULL defense kept the LSUS offense in check forcing 24 turnovers. Katie McCoy led the Lady Pilots with 15 points in a game where the Lady Pilots were outrebounded 48-30.
ULL finished the contest with six in double figures as Sylvania Okde leading all scorers with 19 points. The home squad shot 46% from the field and blasted eight of 19 from downtown while making nine of 11 from the charity stripe. The LSUS defense did not make it easy for the ULL offense forcing 17 turnovers.
The Lady Pilots will host UT-Tyler in their home opener this Friday at 6 p.m. at The Dock.
