Lady Pilots downed by UT-Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Tex. - The LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots soccer team lost to the University of Texas-Brownsville Scorpions 5-0 on Thursday afternoon at Scorpions Soccer Field.UTB (12-2-1, 7-0 RRAC) scored three goals in the first half within a span of 13 minutes. Linette Cuvillier (20:24), Helen Wagstaff (30:33), and Isadora Freitas (33:48) were the goal scorers while Danielle Lea and Leah Russell were credited with assists on two of the goals.
LSUS (6-5-2, 3-2-2 RRAC) only took a total of eight shots, six of which were in the second half. The Scorpions outshot the Lady Pilots 28-6 with seven on goal compared to the Lady Pilot's one shot that was on frame.
The next match for the Lady Pilots will be Saturday in San Antonio, Texas, against Our Lady of the Lake University at 11 a.m.
