Lady Pilots dominate LeTourneau for second straight win

SHREVEPORT, La. - The LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots had plenty of success for the second straight game as they defeated the LeTourneau YellowJackets by a final score of 5-0. Brooke Martin scored four goals in the contest to become the All-Time scoring leader at LSUS with 31 career goals.

Martin scored her first goal in the 21 first minute with an assist from Kim Phelps. Phelps scored the second goal of the game at the 43rd minute to be followed by another Martin goal at the 44th minute just before halftime.

The Lady Pilots (2-1) got off to a slow start in the second half as Martin's two goals came at the 84th and 88th minute.

LSUS outshot LeTourneau (1-2) 14-4 with nine findings its way on goal while the YellowJackets only had two on goal. Martin led all shooters with a total of eight shots with six on goal while LSUS' Sarah Guillory had two shots and one on goal.

The YellowJackets had four different players take a shot but only Ana Vitro had a shot on goal.

The next game for the Lady Pilots will be on Monday, September 12th, at Centenary College as they battle for the Mayor's Cup at 5 p.m.

NOTES: Martin is now the All-Time leading goal scorer at LSUS...she moves up one spot to #2 on the All-Time shots list with 81...She also edges closer to the All-Time record for shots on goal at LSUS with 52; Ashley Pope is the leader with 61.
