Lady Pilots Crush SUNO 62-41

New Orleans, La.- The LSUS Lady Pilots jumped out to a 9-0 lead in Saturday night's contest versus Southern University-New Orleans and never looked back, as they cruised to a 62-41 victory over the Lady Knights.
Edie Leonards and Janai Sells led the Lady Pilots with 14 points apeice.
The Lady Pilots overcame a poor shooting performance on the night by playing aggresive on the defensive end, forcing 31 SUNO turnovers. The Lady Pilots converted several second half turnovers into easy baskets en route to a 21-point victory.
LSUS also dominated the game on the glass. The Lady Pilots outrebounded the host 48-40 on the game, with Quan Joseph pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds. Sells also added 9 rebounds.
The Lady Pilots evened out their conference record at 1-1 on Saturday night, and they will look to win their second consecutive conference game on Thursday night at home versus Belhaven. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
