Lady Pilots crunch Bacone

SHREVEPORT, La. - The no. 19 LSU Shreveport Lady Pilots women's basketball team had no problem picking up their fourth straight win on Monday night at The Dock as they pounding the visiting Bacone Lady Warriors 81-41. The Lady Pilots had four with double digit points.
LSUS (7-1, 3-0 Red River Athletic Conference) started the game aggressively with an 18-2 run over the first six minutes of the contest and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. Sharde Henry led all scorers with 18 points while Christy Willis had 14 points and Victoria Smith tossed in 11.
Katie McCoy was the only non-starter to reach double figures on a night where the Lady Pilots shot 46-percent. Willis and McCoy each made four from beyond the arc.
Bacone (1-5, 0-3 RRAC) had a tough night against the Lady Pilots' defense as they turned the ball over 21 times while shooting just 30-percent from the field.
The Lady Pilots dominated the boards out rebounding the Lady Warriors 47-34 while having no one reach double figures as Ariel Harrell had seven rebounds off the bench. LSUS had 32 rebounds at the half.
The next game for the Lady Pilots will be on Friday night against the Centenary Ladies at 5:30 p.m.
