Lady Pilots beat Blazers 3-1 in GCAC opener

Shreveport, LA---The LSUS Lady Pilots entered their 2006 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference season opener looking to improve to 7-1 on the season while playing host to the Belhaven College Blazers (5-3, 1-2). Alicia Marshall and Katrina Blackwell combined for two goals and two assists in the second half for the Lady Pilots Tuesday en route to a 3-1 victory over the Blazers extending their win streak to six games.
LSUS sits in top spot in the GCAC with a .875 winning percentage and will look to improve upon their already impressive record against William Carey College (6-2, 1-0) Friday afternoon in Hattiesburg, MS. The match is set for 5:00pm.
