Lady Badgers Send LSU-Shreveport Home

Jan 26, 2004 - The Spring Hill College men's and women's basketball teams walked away with wins Monday night at home, beating visiting LSU-Shreveport.The Lady Badgers topped LSU-Shreveport 63-41, behind 17 points and 10 rebounds by Maria Rodriguez. This is her first double-double of her collegiate career. Also chipping in for the Lady Badgers was Megan Pendergast with 12 points.
The Lady Badgers led from the get go, never trailing in the game. Their biggest lead 29 points, came with 12 minutes left in the game. The Lady Badgers shot 37.1% from the field and 75% from the free-throw line.
LSU-Shreveport did not have any players in double-figures. They shot 32% from the field, and were out-rebounded 44-35 by the Lady Badgers.
The Lady Badgers (9-9, 4-3) will next play Thursday night, when they travel to New Orleans, to play SUNO.
