Henry selected as NAIA All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Division I Women's Basketball All-America teams. Players were selected by the All-America committee as LSU Shreveport's Sharde Henry was selected to the honorable mention team.
Henry, a 5-9 junior forward, helped lead the Lady Pilots to their third ever appearance in the NAIA National Tournament in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Lake Charles native led the Lady Pilots in scoring averaging 14.4 points per game and also led the squad with 7 rebounds per game. She helped the Lady Pilots to a second place RRAC finish tossing in double figures in 26 contests this season and pulled down double digit boards in seven games.
Henry's best game of the season came late in the year on February 23, 2012, against Wiley College scoring 26 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
