Gatlin's Free Throws Lift Pilots to Victory

DALLAS, Texas - LSUS senior Chris Gatlin hit two free throws with 4.3 seconds to play to lift the Pilots to a two-point victory over Paul Quinn.
LSUS led by 16 at the half, but managed only 22 second-half points as Paul Quinn rallied to tie the game at 66 with 20 seconds to play.
With LSUS holding the ball for the final shot, Paul Quinn knocked the ball out of bounds with 5.5 seconds remaining before Gatlin worked himself free on an inbounds play and drew the foul.
After Gatlin's two made free throws, Paul Quinn's desperation 3-pointer hit the back iron as time expired giving the Pilots a 68-66 victory.
Gatlin finished with 13 points while Clarke Jackson led LSUS (6-4) with 14 points. Jared Stevenson also chipped in 13 for the Pilots.
