SHREVEPORT, La- Faulkner University left the Swamp with a 2-0 victory Saturday afternoon in a physical contest over the LSU Shreveport Pilots.

LSUS (3-2) out shot Faulkner University in the first half 9-5 and seemed to be on track for a huge second half, but the momentum was not kept for the second half as the Pilots were outshot 12-7 the rest of the way and 17-16 for the game.

Faulkner (2-1) took control of the game when Brighton Masuka scored the game's first goal at the 49:51 mark. Sidaly Toure scored the second goal at the 60:07 mark which ended any momentum that the Pilots had.

The Pilots will travel on the road for their next three games, and they will start conference play while on that road trip. The next game will be Thursday at Louisiana College at 7 p.m. Their next home game at the Swamp will be September 27 against Wiley College.
