Cunningham receives GCAC pitcher of the week honors

HATTIESBURG, Miss – The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference today announced the baseball pitcher of the week for the week of February 14 - 20, 2005.
Derek Cunningham of LSUS is the pitcher of the week. Cunningham was the winning pitcher in the Pilot's 3-0 GCAC victory over Belhaven College. He pitched six innings, allowing one hit, no runs, struck out five and walked two. The only hit was an infield single in the first inning. Cunningham is now 1-0 on the year with 1 save in 8.1 innings pitched. He has held his opponents to a .107 batting average while collecting 8 strikeouts and surrendering only 3 walks. Derek is a senior from Senath, MO.
